Serenade

Serenade is a rumbustuous tragi-comedy using elements of physical theatre, circus, vaudeville, projected imagery and live music in an energetic and highly visual performance. 

What happens when renowned Russian circus artist Lilo Latrovski loses his glamorous trapeze partner and childhood sweet-heart to the lure of Hollywood, and is forced to make his living as a reluctant clown?  Will Lilo’s old friends Lotte and Bruno, the circus musicians, be able to cope with his increasingly erratic and delusional behaviour?  The ups and downs of this eccentric trio are played out against a backdrop of the vanishing culture of traveling entertainers in 1920’s Europe.
