It’s amazing how music and a concert can light up your life. Stars that burned bright but then extinguished with a pathetic whimper or a dramatic haze of mystery.

Dragging its audience through the mud of doubt, narcissism and 120 decibels of Quincy Jones white noise, this ‘show’ is about the loss of the dream: ‘stars’ that are imagined/invented for the sole purpose of reselling a non-existent back catalogue that nobody wanted in the first place. The glow that once seemed to shine upon all of us but was only a bank of Mosfet lights and a keen marketing ploy.

La Pocha Nostra Associate Artists Melina Peña and Alex Bradley first met at the collective’s International Summer School in 2008 and presented together at the Bienal de Ceveira, Portugal in 2009.
