The Housekeeper

Following an increasingly complicated list of housekeeping rules, four performers endlessly repeat their tasks, caught in a grotesque dance of confinement. Plunged into darkness and bombarded with lists of mundane instructions for living and exhausting physical acts of perverse cleanliness (would you sit in someone else’s skin particles?) spectators become immersed in an exhilarating, multi-sensory and excessively intimate environment. Each performance is 10 minutes long and these are performed at short intervals. Each performance is different and the audience can choose to dip in and out or remain for the entire performance event.

1. Be specific in which area you collect the cat hair and cheese, these deposits may have been brought into the room attached to the garments you wear.
2. Scoop these into your right hand and scatter them to the breeze, which may be found outside the window. This should have been made open.
3. Upon leaving do not leave your breath, skin, sebum, hair follicles, any of your pores.
4. Everything is to be as it was. Except clean.
