Dead Causes
Dead Causes, satirises a conservative chorus of performers who propelled the myth of Antigone into a contemporary landscape aiming to debunk its ideas of political protest.
Four performers try hard to imagine a world where heros still exist. They bury awkward facts and incriminating evidence. They try hard to drown out the whispers of the dead. They try to keep the blood off their hands.
Dead Causes toured nationally in 2000 and was described by Total Theatre as ‘Gripping and Accessible’ and by the Sheffield Telegraph as ‘Experimental Theatre at its best’.
