Christmas Dinner!

Christmas Dinner! Has been written and directed by greenroom Associate Artist Oliver Bray, who has re-written the traditional, and now quintessentially British Panto rulebook to create a new take on the Panto format. All your festive favourites are here, The Baddy, The Dame, the Fairy, even Father Christmas, but in Christmas Dinner! the characters are disillusioned with the rules of Panto and are threatening to revolt, while at the same time still confined to the restrictions of story. greenroom have pulling out all the stops; a real rock salt floor has been laid in the theatre and more than a dozen Christmas trees have been begged borrowed and stolen (not really!) as part of the set. All because the Magical Forest must be saved from the Evil Baron and Father Christmas has suggested dinner at the Barons opulent castle to win him over. This totally original Panto was commissioned specially to round off greenroom’s 25 year anniversary celebrations. Unlike the majority of the Panto’s around Manchester - greenroom tickets are only £9 (£6 concessions) and it is suitable for kids of 8 years and upwards. There’s fisticuffs with the starters, tears with the main course and with Nigel and the Baron both declaring their love for the Dame over pudding - how will it all end? Everything rests on one outrageous festive meal and you’re all invited!
