A churning vision of struggle, collapse and paradise presented by the dance company that is Gorgeous. Razor-edge dance, experimental digital puppetry, and an intense original score by Nic Endo (Atari Teenage Riot) transform the Dancehouse into a shattered, tattered, demented cityscape of ordinary damnation.
Reinventing traditional Japanese puppetry for the 21st century, dancers are joined by a virtual puppet animated in real time. A limited number of audience members are invited to collaborate as puppeteers, and via custom written software interact with the live performance.
