Michael A. Barnes-Wynters (Barney)

An inspirational art producer who after more than a decade, finally achieved recognition as an Art04 and Art05 finalist along side leading organisations and groups. Many have been inspired and given  opportunities to develop their creative talents through his innovative  creative platform known as Doodlebug.

 

Michael has been instrumental in the success of Contact since it’s opening in 99 and continues to  successfully programme it’s exhibitions and events and as assoiciate producer has successfully developed and produced its latest artist in residency programme called AIR.

 

Described by Sue Hunt (Manchester City Council Director of Marketing)  as one of the best examples of original modern (1) , Michael aka Barney continues to be a leading creative light not only in the region, but nationally  and internationally.

 

Doodlebug was conceived  in 1991 by him  as a creative platform with its rich smorgabord of  'detonations'(evnts),  has over the years  presented more than 150 artists from all over the world through his ‘Doodlebug Presents…’ and International Doodlebug Day (R.I.P:98-06) showcases.
