Jamie Fletcher

 Jamie Fletcher is co-Artistic Director and founding member of PLaY. Jamie creates, directs and performs contemporary theatre for different audiences in both theatre and public spaces. His performance work is often highly visual with a strong sense of endurance. Jamie is a talented singer and multi-instrumentalist and this skill is often weaved into his work along with original music composition. He has been an artist in residence receiving commissions and continued support from Greenroom, hAb arts, BAC and The Arches. Jamie is also part of Pointed Arrow, a collaboration between five artists based in Leeds.

 

Jamie leads the majority of the PLaY education programme. He has extensive experience teaching and leading drama, music and contmeporary theatre workshops with different age groups from a variety of backgrounds. Previous organisations Jamie has lead workshops for include Manchester Metropolitan University, Leeds University, The Arches, The Carriageworks Theatre, Harrogate Youth Theatre, So Many Words (Disability Youth Theatre), Wakefield Cathedral Education Centre and The Refugee Council.
