Mishimou

Rachael Ayres & Maria Ratcliffe formed Mishimou in 2003 fuelled by a shared desire to create multi-layered adult puppetry theatre. Much of their work is collage-like in structure & highly visual, colliding types & layers of material from many genres and sources. Parallel to this is an insistence that the means of theatrical production be visible in the work itself so certain levels of mystery are removed from the theatrical process so that they can be rediscovered elsewhere. The 3 Little Pigs is Mishimou’s latest piece which was developed at the Royal Exchange Studio and supported by greenroom.
