 The Legendary Manchester Busker was a series of shows in and around Manchester which started in 1988. The format was as many acts as possible, all playing for free and crammed into a roller coaster line-up.

There were 14 Manchester Busker shows in total. The first one was in 1988 at greenroom, and the last one was in June 1996 at Castlefield Arena, the night after the (IRA) bomb went off.

Chris Coupe brings back his famous show celebrating the art of singer-songwriters, bands, comedy acts, poets, and novelty acts to its spiritual home where it all started 21 years ago!

Over the years the Manchester Busker events has been the launch pad for many acts that have gone to the very top of the UK arts and entertainments circuit: Henry Normal, Lemn Sissay, Dave Spikey and Steve Coogan.
